Samsung’s new S23 lineup

Samsung has announced the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus, focusing on practical improvements for daily tasks rather than major changes. The two phones, along with the Galaxy S23 Ultra and a new Galaxy Book, were unveiled at Samsung’s Unpacked event in San Francisco.

The Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus come with bigger batteries, improved selfie cameras, and a refreshed design. The Plus model also has double the storage.
The Galaxy S23 starts at $800 and the Plus at $1,000, with preorders starting today and both launching on February 17. These prices are similar to those of the iPhone 14 lineup, starting at $799 for the regular version and $999 for the Pro. However, Google’s Pixel phones, starting at $599 for the Pixel 7 and $899 for the Pixel 7 Pro, undercut Samsung’s prices.
Here are some of the specs of the upcoming lineup, along with the S23 Ultra if that’s your thing:

The S23 Ultra is, as usual, the only model to offer an included S Pen, but that technology hasn’t taken off in the way that Samsung probably wants and wasn’t without its own issues, though it seems like those have largely been resolved with the last for Galaxy Ultra models.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus come in four colors: Phantom Black, Green, Lavender, and Cream. Samsung will also offer exclusive colors like Red through its website. Both phones are IP68 rated, meaning they are resistant to water and dust, as is typical for high-end phones.
